With the onset of monsoon, paddy planting is going on rapidly all over the country. As of Sunday, paddy cultivation has reached 38.6 percent on 539,766 hectares in all seven provinces.
According to the Department of Agriculture, 54.2 percent of rice has been planted in the Far West.
