The Constitutional Council has recommended Prakashmansingh Raut, a senior judge of the Supreme Court, as the Chief Justice. The council meeting held on Monday evening has selected Singh to the high post of the judiciary.
The Judicial Council had earlier submitted a list of eight qualified judges including Singh for the Chief Justice.
